What is a Koosh ball?
A Koosh ball is a soft toy ball made of hundreds of natural rubber latex filaments radiating from a small core. The strands absorb the impact of a throw, so it is easy to catch and does not bounce or roll away.
Do Koosh balls still exist?
Yes. The original Koosh ball is still made today in its classic 3-inch size, as 1.5-inch Minis, and inside newer games like the Paddle Play Set, Flix Stix, Kornhole and Cameos collectibles.
Why is it called a Koosh?
The name copies the soft koosh sound the ball makes when it lands in your hands. It was picked from a long list of more than 200 candidate names.
What is the point of a Koosh ball?
It was invented to make catch easy for young kids. Today people also use a Koosh as a quiet fidget toy, a classroom tossing ball and the ball for indoor games that cannot use anything hard.
What age is a Koosh ball for?
The classic and mini balls are for ages 3 and up. Games such as Flix Stix, Darts, Hoops and our launchers are for ages 5 or 6 and up, and Koosh Cameos are rated 8 and up.
Is a Koosh ball latex?
Yes. Koosh balls are made with natural rubber latex filaments, so they are not a good pick for anyone with a latex allergy.
How big is a Koosh ball?
Our classic Koosh ball is about 3 inches in diameter; Minis are about 1.5 inches.
Can you pick the color of a Koosh ball?
Single classic balls arrive in one of six colors chosen for you, so every ball is a small surprise. The Americana ball is always red, white and blue.
Are Koosh balls safe indoors?
Yes — they do not bounce or roll, and the soft strands will not mark walls or knock things off shelves.
What age is the Koosh Paddle Play Set for?
It is made for ages 4 and up.
Do Flix Stix come with balls?
Yes, Koosh balls are included with the sticks.
Can the Woosh be used as a paddle?
Yes — hold it by the rim and bat any size Koosh ball back and forth.
Can Koosh Kornhole be played indoors?
Yes. The board is lightweight and the Koosh balls will not damage floors or ceilings.
How many balls come with Koosh Darts?
Four Koosh balls, two red and two green.
Does Sharp Shot need a second player?
No — it has a single-player mode against its built-in AI.
How far does the Koosh Slingshot shoot?
Up to 50 feet or more with a full pull.
What age are Koosh launchers for?
The Triple Fling and Bow Launcher are for 5 and up; the Slingshot and Flingshot for 6 and up.
Are the projectiles soft?
Yes — every launcher fires Koosh balls or soft Koosh-tipped arrows.
What are Koosh Cameos?
Collectible Koosh balls with a sculpted character head and details on top of a body of soft Koosh strands.
What age are Koosh Cameos for?
They are rated for ages 8 and up, and plenty of adult collectors keep them on desks.
